About the Author/Photographer
Stefanie Giglio is a photographer, a traveler, a freelance journalist, and a perpetual student (whether she’s enrolled in school or not!). Her passport is American, but she has lived in Switzerland as well as a handful of States and is currently changing countries (and continents) every few months.
“Picture It” is human interest at its best, putting human faces to enduring themes: work, love, death, birth, and getting by. Its creator, Stefanie Giglio, falls outside the traditional photographer stereotypes, and tries to show her subjects in the same light, trying to avoid the typical media depictions. Neither tourist nor volunteer, she lives alongside, and in the midst of, the images she shoots.

Hello Stephanie.
I’m Loic, we met at Fat Monkey (Monkey Bay).
I discover now you web site and pictures and I really love the light you give, in the literal and figurative senses.
Where are you now?
Hi Loic!! I’m still running around Malawi, shooting as much as I can. I have a backlog of blog entries that I haven’t gotten to put up yet, but they’ll show what I’ve been up to. How is your amazing journey going? Is there anywhere that i can read about your trip and see some photos? Good luck with everything! I wish you a lovely journey!
on behalf of the dark-kept tourists, your pictures are awesome and your dedication and professionalism are at least the same. here’s hoping for the best an wishing many much travels and visual enlightenments from Africa and not only. :)
You could certainly see your enthusiasm in the work
you write. The sector hopes for more passionate writers like you
who aren’t afraid to mention how they believe. All the time follow your heart.
